New: Private Rooms and Streamer Mode
"Can we play just among ourselves, without everyone else?" That's probably THE question we've been asked most since launch. The answer is finally yes: Dovion private rooms are here, along with a streamer mode for content creators. Here's the full rundown.
Private rooms: just a link, that's it
No complicated menu, no password to manage. A private room is a URL:

Swap NAME for whatever you want, send the link to your friends, and everyone who opens it lands in the same room. Important detail: cross-play works in private rooms too — your buddy on their phone and you on PC sail the same waters. The game can host up to 16 rooms in parallel.
It's perfect for:
- a night with friends without getting sunk by over-trained strangers;
- teaching the game to a beginner in a calmer environment;
- organizing your own naval football match — in fact, challenging your friends to football in a private room is basically its own kind of game night;
- honor duels that are nobody's business but yours.

Streamer mode: for those who show off the game
Second new feature, built for content creators: streamer mode. It runs on an access key (we hand these out to streamers who reach out to us) and unlocks dedicated tools:
- room settings to tailor the match to your format;
- the room name displayed on screen, so viewers know where to join;
- a dedicated HUD that shows the room's status at a glance.
The idea: a streamer can say "join me in room NAME" and watch viewers land in the match within seconds, on PC or mobile alike. No lobby, no install, no account: the viewer clicks, and they're in the game. Few games pull that off, and it's exactly the strength of the browser. Why an access key for streamer mode?
Simple caution, really. Room settings hand you a fair amount of power over other players' experience in that room, and we'd rather entrust that to identified people than throw the doors wide open on day one. If you create content — no matter your channel size, we don't gatekeep by audience — reach out and we'll send you a key.
What this changes for the game
Until now, Dovion was one big public sea where everyone crossed paths. That's still the heart of the game, and it always will be. But private rooms add something we really care about: memories with friends. The matches you remember years later are rarely anonymous ones — they're the ones with familiar names on screen and shouting in the living room (or on Discord).
