Level 45 and Beyond: Life in Your Final Hull
Level 45 is the last major milestone in your Dovion progression: the point where your lineage hands you its final hull, the fully realized version of everything you've built since the Chaloupe. But contrary to what many assume, the story doesn't end there — five more levels remain, a leaderboard to conquer, and an endgame life with its own rules. Welcome to the top.
The level-45 milestone: your final hull
Dovion's ship tree is built around four evolution milestones — 5, 15, 30, and 45. Level 45 is the last branch: each of the nine lineages delivers its ultimate ship there. Dreadnought for the Broadsides lineage, armored Titan for the Mortar, Storm Galleon, Abyssal Leviathan, Flame-Breaker, Ghost Ship, Trirème des Sirènes (Mermaid Trireme), merchant Armada — the game's largest hold — and Sea Lightning, whose torpedo fan grows to five tubes.
These hulls aren't just bigger versions of the earlier ones: they push their lineage's identity to its maximum. If you're still undecided on your final destination, the full overview is in the guide to the 9 lineages.
Levels 46 to 50: the home stretch
After 45, no more evolutions — but progression continues. Every level from 46 to 50 grants stat points to distribute: Rate of Fire, Ram, and the rest of the toolkit. This is the fine-tuning phase: your hull is set, your build isn't quite yet.
These final points deserve real thought. They can fix your remaining weakness (the tank lacking rate of fire, the speedster lacking bite) or push your strength to the absurd. There's no universal answer — only your style, and tonight's opponents.
Life as a big fish
Reaching the endgame changes your status in the archipelago, and not only for the better:
- Bosses notice you. Starting at level 30 already, the center's bosses prioritize big players. In your final hull, you're exactly the kind of prey that interests them. The central lagoon is still profitable, but it won't go easy on you anymore.
- Players notice you too. A level-45 hull at the top of the leaderboard is a walking trophy. Expect attempts — sometimes coordinated ones.
- Every mistake costs more. Sinking at level 8 is a setback; sinking at 47 with a full hold is a tragedy in three acts. The fundamentals (sell often, read the map, flee in time) matter MORE in the endgame, not less.
Setting sail for first place
So what do you do at the top? You go after the one thing left: first place on the leaderboard, and the art of keeping it. It's a game within the game — choosing your fights, managing your visibility, turning power into lasting dominance rather than a flash in the pan. We dedicated a full guide to it: late game: playing for first place without losing everything.
And don't forget the top-level metagame: knowing your matchups. In your final hull, you'll cross paths with the other eight lineages at their full potential — knowing who beats who is the difference between a reign and an anecdote.
The top isn't the end
A Dovion match in your final hull is the game at its most intense: everyone knows you, everyone's after you, and every victory is earned. It's also, honestly, where the game tastes the best. The road from the Chaloupe is long — all the more reason to start now: Play Dovion for free, level 45 is won one broadside at a time.
